Treasure Trove Annual Report

Change of site for meeting finders at National Museums Scotland
Starting immediately, the location of appointments with the Treasure Trove Unit has changed from the NMS Reception to inside at the Delivery and Staff entrance at Bristo Port, on the West side of the museum. Please see the map below. The entrance is wheelchair accessible and can be reached by bus.
We have made this change to provide a better appointment experience for Finders. Please arrive at the Delivery and Staff entrance at Bristo Port no more than 5 minutes before your appointment time.

The findings of the Review have been submitted to the KLTR. Updates on next steps will be shared in due course.

Meeting TTU - booking an appointment
The Treasure Trove Unit can meet with finders at the National Museum of Scotland to receive finds. If you have artefacts to hand-in, please book an appointment online here, or e-mail us at treasuretrove@nms.ac.uk.
Appointments are available on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We are now meeting finders at the Delivery and Staff entrance at Bristo Port, on the West side of the museum
